The LG-GD910 is proof that even the mobile industry bigwigs keep track of “the future” of mobile phones. Publicly unveiled at CES 2009, it seems to be exactly what every wristwatch phone should be. Unfortunately, feature-rich though it may be, it still can’t outperform concepts.

What we have here is a “Disposable Pre-paid mobile phone concept” by Shirley A. Roberts, which features a 2-column 14-key keypad and a small screen to handle text. It looks very futuristic, but the screen there kind of looks like something taken straight out of a Point-of-Sales terminal in your local supermarket.

When rolled up, this phone can be worn on the wrist. And it can also be used as a regular stick-design handset, with matching headphones.

It may not have much in terms of features, and won’t be besting the LG-GD910 in any scoreboard, but it certainly looks way better. When LG (or any other phone manufacturer, for that matter) produces downsized but sexed up watch phones like this one, maybe then I’ll consider buying.Via Yanko Design
