Instead, it’s a new solution developed by the Norway-based company for “business customers on Opera Desktop, Opera Mobile and Opera Devices SDK.”
So, what does it offer?
Well, as its name suggests, Opera Turbo can provide a “turbo-charged way” to access the Web, thanks to its ability to compress bandwidth consumption.
In consequence, when someone uses Opera Desktop or Opera Mini with Opera Turbo, Web pages will load faster. And this is not only more convenient for that particular someone, but also for mobile operators, as they can significantly reduce network traffic.
By leveraging on Opera Turbo’s advanced compression technology, you can even use devices with weak hardware capabilities (i.e. an entry-level mobile phone) to surf the Web in decent conditions.
Opera Turbo’s features will be first showcased during MWC 2009 (16 – 19 February, Barcelona, Spain).
