We knew that the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G was going to be announced this month and, well, the smartphone is now finally official.

Sadly, T-Mobile USA will only sell its second Android handset starting early August. However, the carrier’s current customers will be able to pre-order it as of July 8 and thus receive it sometime later that month. The smartphone’s price is of $199.99 with a contract agreement for two years.

As expected, the MyTouch 3G will be offered in three color versions: white, black and merlot.

Unlike its predecessor (T-Mobile G1), MyTouch 3G doesn’t have a hardware keyboard, so it’s slightly thinner.

The new smartphone obviously features stuff like Google Search by voice, Google Maps with Street View, YouTube and Picasa access and so on. It is highly customizable (including apps like Sherpa) and it comes with a 4GB card in the box.

Other than that, the specs of MyTouch 3G are similar to the ones of HTC Magic: 3.2 inch touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixels, GPS, Wi-Fi and a 3.2MP camera with autofocus and video recording.

The official website of T-Mobile’s MyTouch 3G can be accessed here.
